Stadion events will not include any water or mud obstacles; in all other events, racers can expect to get muddy!
Kids must be a minimum of 4 years of age, on or before race day, to participate in a Kids’ Race event.
1 Kilometre event participants can expect to climb, crawl, traverse, and spear-throw their way through our 1 kilometre course. This course is developmentally appropriate for racers as young as 4 years of age. The suggested age range for this event is 4-6 years of age.
1.5 Kilometre event participants will complete all of the obstacles of the 1 kilometre course along with additional obstacles like a slip wall, traverse wall, sandbag carry, and inverted wall; all obstacles are scaled down versions of obstacles that can be found in our adult courses. The suggested age range for this event is: 7-9 years of age.
3 Kilometre Non-competitive event participants will complete all of the obstacles of the 1 kilometre and 1,5 kilometre courses along with additional heavy carries, 7’ walls, and a rope climb. The required age range for this event is: 9-14 years of age.
3 Kilometre Competitive event participants will complete two laps of the 1.5 kilometre course (or a dedicated 3 kilometre course) in addition to an extended course section with more challenging age-specific obstacles. 3 kilometre competitive event participants will compete for awards, including a podium ceremony, and photo ops with the adult Elite racers. The required age range for this event has two age categories that are: 9-11 and 12-14 years of age.
Note: Please consider the obstacles included in the event distance that you choose for your young racer. Many children may be able to run 3 kilometres but may not be physically prepared to complete the heavy carries or have the ability to conquer some of the above ground obstacles included in the 3 kilometre event.
